Xreal Air 2 Ultra is an affordable alternative to the Apple Vision Pro, apparently
Xreal, formerly Nreal, hosted one of the busiest booths at CES in recent years, so it's no surprise that the company is back with new AR glasses for this year's show -- especially given the much anticipated launch of Apple's Vision Pro. Following the Nreal Light from 2019, the brand new Xreal Air 2 Ultra finally brings back 6DoF (six degrees of freedom) spatial tracking and hand tracking, along with a wider 52-degree FOV (field of view) and a 42-pixel-per-degree sharpness within an 80-gram titanium package. The firm goes as far as claiming that these specs make the 699 Air 2 Ultra a compelling alternative to the 3,499 Vision Pro. Unlike the standalone mixed reality headsets, the Air 2 series of glasses need to be powered by an external computing unit, such as a smartphone, a computer or Xreal's Beam module, via USB-C. While the earlier Air 2 Pro and Air 2 were positioned more as personal display wearables, the Air 2 Ultra emphasizes on its 6DoF spatial computing capabilities, meaning virtual objects can be mapped to the real world while you walk around.

DJI Mavic Air 2 Review: The Best Drone for Taking Photos and Videos
DJI's new Mavic Air 2 folding-style drone is a huge improvement over the previous model--so much so that for most people, this is the perfect drone. The Mavic Air 2 is the middle child in DJI's consumer drone lineup, sitting between the smaller, lighter, but less capable Mavic Mini, and the more powerful, more capable, but also more expensive, Mavic 2. If you're just getting started with drones, the less expensive Mavic Mini (8/10 WIRED Recommends)--my previous top pick for most people--might be a better buy. That said, the Air 2 offers better collision avoidance systems, higher quality photos and video, and a wide assortment of automated flight features that newcomers and seasoned vets alike can appreciate. The Mavic Air 2 is slightly bigger than its predecessor, at least on paper. The folding design remains compact, and at 1.3 pounds, the drone is plenty portable.

Which flying camera is for me? The new Mavic Air 2 or Mavic Pro?
It's very rare to see any travel video or brochure these days that doesn't have an image shot from overhead, on a drone. Life seems more dramatic up from above, right? The units themselves have gotten way easier to use, more affordable and the camera quality is pretty amazing. Imagine being able to throw a high-quality camera in the air that can get stunning overhead shots, smooth video even in wind and always somehow return home to sender. It's one of the major tech advancements of our time, but it can be a little confusing.
